In my works, I don’t produce documentary photographs but rather a painterly realization of memory through analog technique. I work slowly in the darkroom—each print is a ritual of slowness. I intentionally include every error and trace from the production process—grain, emulsion marks, brush strokes, fingerprints, blank spaces—as visible markers. These become part of the image’s texture and emotional depth. I leave the works untitled to create a free associative space, where viewers can freely project their own memories and associations without direction..

The slow rhythm of both making and looking invites reflection: Take time, note which associations arise and what memories the image invokes— your seeing tells something about you. In the exhibition Tracing Time, I linked this active image-reading to layered temporalities: the ongoing reinterpretation of the past, the difference between assumed historical documentation and the present resonance of prints that feel timeless. My photos occupy the threshold between revealing and concealing—sharp geometry fading into soft light, visible and invisible, presence and disappearance. They aren’t objects but spaces, reminding us that memories are not fixed, and that creating meaning is an act of co‑construction between image and viewer.
